Visiting Chaiiwala Surrey Central: we're inside Central City Mall in Surrey's downtown core, a short walk from Surrey Central SkyTrain Station on the Expo Line, SFU's Surrey campus, Surrey City Hall and the City Centre Library. That makes us an easy stop before a train, between classes or during a shopping trip, with no need to leave the mall in bad weather. Weekday lunchtimes are busiest with students and office workers. The karak chai has that familiar, desi warmth to it, not overly fancy, just satisfying. It's one of those places you don't overthink. A solid spot for chai lovers who enjoy simple moments done right.
I tried aloo tikki chaat here and it was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend it — a must try. The staff was very friendly, and the food service was really good and fast.
